Description
Are you a pro right-handed or beginner shooter in search of a high performing compound bow at a good price point? Look no further than the AW Pro.
This uniquely designed bow comes complete in a value-pack kit with great accessories and features for target shooting and hunting.
At 30 inches axle to axle and 3.6 pounds net weight, the AW Pro is a very compact and lightweight bow that is best suited for the novice as well as young hunters.
Our preliminary shooting test revealed the superior let-off this bow comes with. The 80% let-off allows you to hold the bow at full draw using less force than the peak draw weight.
Material and Design
The AW Pro features exquisite craftsmanship as well as technology. The riser is made of high strength, lightweight, aluminum alloy.
The aluminum alloy handle has good elasticity and gives high efficiency. The riser is also fitted with a strong stainless steel cable guard and a comfortable grip.
The longer riser and shorter limbs make them nearly parallel to each other. The parallel split limb design improves forgiveness when releasing the arrow.
The split limbs do a great job of cancelling each other out, resulting in less noise and vibration. Wind resistance is at a premium with this design.
The parallel split limbs also increase brace height. The 8-inch brace height keeps the arrow on the string a little longer in order to improve your aiming.
While there is a cable guard for preventing the cables from touching each other when releasing a shot, we also recommend installing dampeners on the limbs to help eliminate hand shock.
One thing that is certain about the short axle to axle length of this bow is the severe string angle created at full draw.
Therefore, the AW Pro requires extra accessories. For example, a release aid is necessary for eliminating string pinch.
Cam Information
The AW Pro has a great dual cam system that is well-known for its solid back wall, even though it is only using cable stops.
The cam system has a smooth draw, which has an enormous impact on your ability to deliver perfect nock travel for superior arrow flight.
By design, the AW Pro dual cam system ensures that your nock always stays in the same place on the vertical plane.
The cam system ensures that your arrow comes out of the bow straight with as much energy as possible.
Suitability for Hunting
Are you a seasoned hunter who likes to shoot from ground blinds and tree stands? The AW Pro compact design is your ideal choice.
As much as we highly recommend this bow for novice and young archers. It comes with top-of-the-line features for hunting game.
Apart from a perfect nock travel, the smooth cam system gives you a 12-inch draw length adjustment, making it suitable for a lot of shooters.
The poundage spectrum is also massive. From a peak of 70 pounds, the draw weight can be lowered to 20 pounds.
In addition, the superior let-off leaves you with only a few pounds to hold at full draw. An important feature for young bow hunters.
As long as you are using IBO requirements, the AW Pro is well-suited for hunting large, medium, and small game. Avoid too many changes in order not to affect the bow’s kinetic energy.
Suggested Arrows
The AW Pro comes equipped with twelve 30-inch carbon arrows. The provided arrows are made of generic type carbon material. So, don’t expect them to have Easton quality.
The supplied arrows are mainly suitable for target shooting. However, you may need to buy high-quality carbon fiber arrows for game hunting.
Preferably, you should choose arrows with multi-layered construction for added strength and durability.
Also, make sure they’re matched with adjustable nocks, attachable broad heads, and 100-grain field points. Get more information on arrow selection from our detailed guide.
