Description
The foundation of the Diamond Archery Prism is being able to meet the needs of a regular recreational user. It is the perfect choice for a target shooting competition.
You barely need strong muscles to pull this bow. With a draw weight of 5 to 55 pounds, you only need to acquire your target to deliver a shot.
In the Diamond Archery lineup, the Diamond Prism ticks a lot of boxes. It features an effective let-off of 80% and a reliable brace height of 7 inches, making it a very forgiving bow.
You will be happy to know that the Diamond Prism features top-of-the-line technologies, including extreme adjustability and rotating modules.
Material & Design
Unlike other ordinary bows on the market, the Diamond Prism is built to perform and last. It is a heavy duty shooting machine.
At first glance, the bow appears very sturdy and well-made. It is a lightweight option that is easy to maneuver from small ground blinds or wobbly tree stands.
One thing the Diamond Prism affords you is the opportunity to fit the bow closely to your size and strength, thanks to the unique riser and limb design.
The heavy-duty riser is engineered from high-quality and durable material. It feels solid, lightweight, and easy to hold.
The riser has more than ten cutouts, which reduce its weight significantly. The numerous cutouts also eliminate vibration at the shot.
This bow comes with a highly adjustable limb system that allows you to generously adjust the poundage from 5 to 55 pounds.
An integrated offset quiver mount allows almost any quiver to be mounted back as well as out the way.
Cam Information
The binary cam system that comes with the Diamond Prism is one of a kind. It is probably the only cam system that is extremely simple to tune.
The cam system feels natural when you are pulling. Basically, you can feel as it steadily increases. The 80% let-off makes you feel a few pounds of the peak weight at full draw.
Cam timing isn’t as difficult as you would have imagined. Both cams should be properly timed for the cams to simultaneously complete their rotation.
Both cams are fitted with sealed bearings. Therefore, there is absolutely no need for you to lubricate the cams.
Another addition that makes the cams perform so well is the bowstring. It provides absolute consistency and long string life, one shot after another.
Suitability for Hunting
This is an excellent choice for hunting and recreation. The very first feature that will make you want to hunt or target practice with it every day is its dual cam system.
The binary cam system provides a very smooth drawing bow with plenty of speed (295 FPS) and it is virtually immune to tuning problems.
At 31 inches axle to axle, the Diamond Prism is compact enough for hunting from a small ground blind or a shaky tree stand.
It has a remarkable let-off of 80%. This means that at full draw the bow would exert a pull on your arms of about 11 pounds. This ensures better shot placement and accuracy.
The draw length of 18 to 30 inches is also quite impressive because it covers a great number of shooters, including youth and adult women.
Suggested Arrows
Choosing arrows for the Diamond Prism may not be a walk in the park. You need to determine your draw length, arrow length, and arrow weight.
Always know that the arrow length you choose affects the spine. The longer the arrow is the feebler the spine.
For this bow, you need about 15 to 20 percent greater arrow stiffness. You also want to shoot a shaft with a thin wall and a large diameter.
