Description
Are you new to archery? Do you want to build and perfect your archery skills? Look no further than the Siege SAS Compound Bow.
This unique piece of art is manufactured and handmade from premium materials available. With proper maintenance, the Siege SAS is designed for durability.
It is a pretty long bow for serious archers with an axle to axle length of 41.5 inches, draw length of 29 inches, and a suitable IBO speed of 206 FPS.
The Siege SAS combines excellent accessibility, quality, and accuracy. Not to mention that it has a budget-friendly price tag.
Material & Design
The bow may appear simple, but be rest assured that it is pretty well-made and sturdy. It weighs 4 pounds, the ideal weight for an adult.
It is fitted with ABS compressed limbs that span weight, balance, and strength for durability. The limbs are slightly lighter, but durable.
The Siege SAS comes with an aluminum riser, which is fairly lightweight. The lightweight riser gives the bow a curb appeal.
Cutouts allow the riser to be lighter in weight yet able to absorb the vibration and shock that usually accompany the release. The cutouts also provide the bow with a sleek appearance.
It has a standard aluminum grip that feels natural and comfortable. However, it is not as strong as the ones found on high-end models, but good enough for beginners.
Another important part of the construction that is quite impressive is the pre-drilled holes. The holes are useful for adding accessories onto the bow.
Cam Information
It is equipped with a smooth, simple twin cam system, which is quite effective for a starter. This is so since it does not need much adjusting, thanks to its synced timing.
The twin cam design has two mirrored cams on opposite ends of the limbs. This system is capable of delivering speeds of up to 206 FPS.
The simple design of the cams is very effective at minimizing noise produced by the system, an attribute that is important for hunting.
Suitability for Hunting
The bow’s 41.5 inch axle to axle length is the most forgiving of compounds, which eliminates string pinch in order to improve accuracy.
The twin cams allow for more let-off of 70%, providing you with a wide range of adjustment. Therefore, at full draw (55 pounds), you will be holding roughly 17 pounds of draw weight.
At full draw of 29 inches, the 70% let-off is quite forgiving for a beginner archer. You will be able to make fairly accurate shots with minimum mistakes.
The smooth cam system makes the bow relatively smooth to pull at full draw and weight. This makes the Siege SAS a suitable choice for medium and small game hunters.
Suggested Arrows
The manufacturer of the Siege SAS recommends 30-inch aluminum or carbon arrows.
Between the two materials, we find aluminum to be a better choice for beginners. Not only does aluminum meet quality standards, but it’s more versatile than other materials.
To get the fastest shaft within a given spine range, you want to shoot a shaft with a large diameter and a thin wall.
For example, if you shoot a 30-inch arrow from the Siege SAS (55 pound), you could use a shaft that weighs only 485 grains.
That would be a fast-flying shaft, but it is not necessarily the best choice, because you pay a price for speed. You can learn more on how to choose the finest arrows.

- Low but sufficient draw weight
- Forgiving let-off allows you to shoot accurately
- ABS compressed riser and aluminum limbs are pretty well-made
- Twin cam system allows for a smooth draw
- Adjustable poundage

Ready to Hunt Package
The Siege SAS comes with a few hunting accessories, including a light and a sight.
Closing Shot
If you consider the axle to axle length, let-off, and poundage, the Siege SAS is quite a resourceful bow for hunting.
However, the twin cam system is only capable of achieving 206 FPS, which in our opinion, is suitable for medium and small game hunting.
Overall, the construction is elegant and durable, and does not require special skills to set-up.
Available Colors
The Siege SAS is available in black, camo, and silver variations.
